Pingbian County Astaxanthin Project is invested by Yunnan Boxin Biotech Co.,Ltd,which covers an area of 690 acres, with a total planned investment of 620 million yuan,is "high-tech + modern agriculture + biomedical health" three-products integration development project. Among them, the first production has Haematococcus Pluvialis algae farming and algae powder primary processing, the second production has Astaxanthin oil extraction, microencapsulated powder and other deep processing, the third production has technical services, business services, export trade, industrial tourism, etc.

This project has been listed as provincial level major project, provincial key industrial projects and key projects in the biomedical industry chain in Honghe City, also is the biggest investment attraction projects ever since the start of Pingbian county. The project will be started and constructed in the same year, and will strive to be completed and put into operation in 2024.After all the construction is completed, the annual output value can reach 1.2 billion yuan, the profit tax is more than 360 million yuan, and it can also play the role of linking farmers with farmers, absorbing more than 300 laborers in the vicinity for long-term stable employment, realizing economic benefits, social benefits and ecological benefits of diversified income generation.
